Doug Motley is a managing principal and co-founder of Jack Lingo Asset Management (JLAM)—a boutique real estate investment and development firm. He leads JLAM’s investment team, where he is responsible for investment strategy, market research, investment selection, and portfolio construction. He also manages all debt and equity capital relationships. He has overseen the investment of more than $500 million in capital across multiple real estate investment strategies and across multiple market cycles.

Prior to JLAM, Doug co-founded a private equity real estate platform that invested in office assets in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast US. He also previously served as chief financial officer of a regional real estate development firm.

A native of Delaware, Doug graduated magna cum laude from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, is a member of the Private Equity CFO Association, and is currently a Governor-appointed member and Chair of the Council on Housing for the State of Delaware. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Doug is a private pilot and enjoys exploring the East Coast by air with his wife and their two Labradors.
